I'm new here and looking for some help aka general knowledge from some guys/gals that have experience with cove sealants.
We have been asked to replace approximately 7,000 L.F. of cove sealant in a concrete parking garage.
When I inspected the garage only the lower basement floor had control joints with an elastic sealant placed in the joints. The rest of the garage has no control joints but a hard mason type sealant between the floor and walls. I am trying to get some insight into what tools and equipment are needed to do this type of repair.
The elastic control joint sealant can be simply pulled out and then we will clean and dry the crack prior to placing the new sealant. Whats the best way to remove the existing cove sealant that is not elastic?
Thanks in advance.
