Unexpected rain caught us while still brooming out a huge drive way and turnaround space. We tried to cover it with plastic but were unable to accomplish it before the top was washed away in various places. After a few days of drying out exposed rock was present through various areas as well as foot prints and board marks that held the plastic over the concrete. I'm quite certain that we will have to rip it all up and start over but wanted to ask if there was another way to save it? Structually there is nothing wrong with the driveway however the homeowner will not accept it's cosmetic appearence.

You might be able to suggest a terrazzo look and texture, diamond grinding and a shark skin additive treated sealer will help save the slab, but if they insist on having a broom finish texture, you won't have any other option than tear out/redo; an overlay on such a big area will be a big expense and results will never be the same as with a new slab.
Good Luck!
